Fenugreek is a important ingredient in Indian cuisines and very healthy one. In India known as uluva kanji. It has lots of health benefits. If you try to increase breast milk for your babies, it will help you. It is one recipe for postpartum diet plan. l am a fenugreek porridge lover. fenugreek porridge is a unique one and very tasty. Uluva kanji is considered as a good medicinal food to keep good health condition. This main ingredient is fenugreek ( methi seed). 

How to prepare fenugreek porridge?

Ingredients:

  • Broken rice -1cup
  • Coconut milk -1 cup
  • Fenugreek - 1 tbsp
  • Water- 3 cups
  • Salt

Method

Take a pot,add water, washed broken rice and over night soaked fenugreek. Pot change to stove top and flame on. Wait 5 minutes for boil. This waiting for boiling rice. When boiling time add coconut milk. Coconut milk give good taste for porridge. After boiling , flame off. When you drink,you should add some salt. I think this porridge is more taste after cooling. Because rice will soak in coconut milk.

Sweet fenugreek porridge

Ingredients:

  • Jaggery 
  • Water

Method

Take 2 piece jaggery and some water into a pan. Low flame on till melt. When the jaggery melt completely, turn off flame. After cooling , change to already prepared fenugreek porridge.
